Labour Day was celebrated at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar,Ludhiana with full aplomb. The celebration kicked off with a speech welcoming the workers and acknowledging their hard work. Prayer marked the beginning of the programme followed by a group song on labour Day "Mazdoor Zindabad……."
Following this the support staff of the school was presented ‘Thank you cards’ made by students of class I-III on the occasion of ‘International Labour Day’ as a mark of respect.Students of class IV-IX expressed their gratitude and admiration for the school’s support staff by presenting beautiful handmade bouquets and photo frames adorned with their photographs.The students of class XI welcomed them traditionally by felicitating them with ‘chandan tilak’.Kids also contributed to offer a token of acknowledgement in the form of small presents and a light refreshment for their care takers.The students of XII efficiently managed all the duties of their helpers today.
School principal Mrs.Bandana Sethi congratulated the workers and thanked them for their dedicated services.She also focused on the priceless contribution of the workers for the smooth functioning of the school. She also motivated the students to lessen their burden by keeping the surroundings clean.Support staff workers were overwhelmed watching the whole celebration . Smt.Pushpa, a senior helper, blessed the students on behalf of all the helpers and another senior helper ‘Sh.Durga Prasad Ji’ expressed his gratitude towards the school management,the Principal,teachers and students for their affectionate endeavour.He also advised his co-workers to work honestly and wholeheartedly.
